Founded in 2001 by Stephen Langley, Bob Kinley and Mark Salter, ISS Safety offers unrivalled expertise within the world of factory, process plant and machinery safety.

Meet The Team

Adrian FennSenior Systems Engineer

Adrian has over 20 years of experience in the design, development, and management of large safety-related engineering projects across a range of industries. He has detailed knowledge of electrical safety components and systems, electrical control circuitry, and the design of machine safety device interfaces. Adrian is a CMSE – Certified Machinery Safety Expert (TÜV Nord). He is a degree-qualified engineer and an Associate Member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) (formerly IEE).

Heena DalalCustomer

Heena is responsible for the management of the Customer Service Department and has over seven years’ experience in the industrial safety industry. She has considerable knowledge of machine safety control systems, including the use of interlocks, safety edges, mats, and bumpers. Her responsibilities include supporting customers in the selection of safety devices appropriate for use with dangerous machinery. Heena holds the NEBOSH Occupational Health and Safety Certificate.

Nick CowenSales Director

Nick has worked in the machinery and process safety industry for over 20 years and has considerable experience in the design of mechanical safety-related control systems. He specialises in machinery guarding, interlocking, and process control safety. Nick is a CMSE – Certified Machinery Safety Expert (TÜV Nord) and a CECE – Certified Expert in CE Marking (TÜV Nord – Pilz). He holds a HND in Mechanical Production Engineering and the NEBOSH Occupational Health and Safety Certificate.

Carlton BaileyInstallation Manager

Carlton is responsible for the delivery and execution of all electrical and mechanical installation projects, both in-house and on-site. He has considerable experience managing team-based installation projects within the automotive and water industries, both in the UK and internationally. Carlton is a CMSE – Certified Machinery Safety Expert (TÜV Nord) and holds a BTEC National Certificate of Engineering and the City & Guilds BS7671-2008 IEE Electrical Installation Certificate.

Mark SalterProject Director

Mark has considerable and detailed knowledge of safety devices and their integration into machine safety systems, supported by strong practical experience in their operation and installation. Through his previous involvement in project management, he has developed detailed application knowledge of specific types of dangerous machinery, plant, and industrial processes. Mark is a CMSE – Certified Machinery Safety Expert (TÜV Nord) and a CECE – Certified Expert in CE Marking (TÜV Nord – Pilz). He holds a HND in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and the NEBOSH Occupational Health and Safety Certificate.
